Konnyaku(Konjac)

I was just wondering if you eat konnyaku in your country?
Konnyaku is is a plant of the genus Amorphophallus.

In japan we eat a lot of konnyaku.
It's really healthy and only 10 calories per 85 grams(3 oz)!

Today I made konnyaku sashimi.
This kind I bought looks like a squid sashimi, but it's NOT!

This dressing is really delicious!
You can use for many different kinds of vegetables too.

Directions

1. Put the dressing ingredients into a small bowl and mix well.

3. Place the sliced asparagus on a plate and put konnyaku and seaweed on top.

4. When you eat it, roll the seaweed and asparagus with konnyaku and dip it in the sauce.
(Check the photo below)

If you don't have seaweed or asparagus...just konnyaku and dressing are a good combo too.

Enjoy!
