Rice Noodles



These are Philippine noodles. But, today I made Korean-style Japchae(noodle stir fried).
In Korea they used sweet potato noodles for Japchae. But, rice noodles are good too!
And this recipe is really simple and easy.
You don't have to saute, you don't even have to boil the noodles.

Rice Noodle Japchae


Ingredients

1 person rice noodles
3 baby carrots sliced
1 leaf cabbage sliced
3 green beans (optional)
1/2 garlic finely chopped
1 1/2 tbs soy sauce
1 tbs sesame oil
cilantro (optional)

Soaking the noodles



Directions

1. Soak the noodles in hot water until they get soft.

2. Add some salt to the carrots and cabbage until they get soft.

3. When the noodles are soft, drain the excess water.

4. When the vegetables are soft, drain the excess water by hand.

5. Mix the garlic, soy sauce and sesame oil in a bowl and add the noodles, vegetables and mix together. Place on your plate and add some cilantro if you have it.
