Broccoli and Apple with Sesame Dressing

As I mentioned in my last post, broccoli is best in winter.

When we eat raw vegetables we can get a lot more nutritious enzymes, so I always try to eat broccoli raw. *Don't forget to rinse it well!

Today's recipe is...
Broccoli and Apple with sesame dressing


Ingredients

1/4 bunch of broccoli
1/4 apple
1 tbs pine nuts
1 tbs bread crumbs (I used frozen slice of bread and broke it up into small pieces)
1 tbs vegetable oil

Dressing

1 tbs sesame paste
1 tsp vinegar
1 tsp vegetable oil
1 tbs mayonnaise
1/2 tsp cane sugar
















Directions

1. Make the dressing
Add the sesame paste, oil and vinegar in a small bowl and mix well. Then add mayonnaise and sugar. Stir.

2. Rinse off your broccoli well, and break into large, bite-sized pieces. Cut off the stem and peel off the thick skin around the stem. Quarter or halve the stem lengthwise.
Cut the apple into 0.5 inch pieces and soak in the salt water for about 10 seconds or so.

3. Put 1 tbs oil in a frying pan, heat it up and put bread crumbs and pine nuts in. Then saute for a few minutes.

4. Place the broccoli and apple on a plate and then put the bread crumbs and pine nuts on top.
When you eat pour the dressing.
