And beta carotene is converted by the body into vitamin A, which is essential for healthy skin and for helping the eyes adjust from bright light to darkness. Vitamin A also nourishes the tissues of your respiratory and intestinal tracts, and helps to boost the immune system. other perks include soluble fiber, vitamin C, and some calcium!

This smoothie recipe is delicious and good for flu!
Flu Fighter Smoothie!
Ingredients
<serves 2>
4 carrots
1 apple
1kiwi
1/4inch ginger
1 cup water
Directions
1. Mix them all ingredients in the blender and mix well.
*I didn't peel them all.
Tips!
How to buy...Choose firm, bright orange carrots. The deeper the orange color, the more beta-carotene is present. The leafy tops should be bright green! by power foods!
