Miréio at Raffles Makati introduces Champagne and Martini Happy Hour Nights!

Raffles Makati is so near from our office but it was only recently when I was able to experience something there that’s beyond my expectations.

Located on the 9th floor is a hidden gem called Miréio which boasts as one of the top places for French cuisine in the city. I recently went on a trip  to Paris for and I can re-imagine all the wonderful food that I’ve encountered, so to know that there’s a place in Manila that I can go to whenever I may need to satisfy myself with either steak and frites or perhaps another provencal dish.

But if you went up a floor higher using the eloquently structured stairs at Miréio, you will find yourself in a totally different place. It’s like they have their own hidden bar, but the only difference being that the bar is actually a rooftop-like terrace overlooking the Makati cityscape.

Champagne and oysters, anyone?

The best part? The Mireio Terrace now offers a  happy hour in style — dubbed as “Champagne and Martinis in the City” — and it started a few weeks ago, last  May 15. Available from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. daily, guests can pretty much enjoy an endless pouring of Taittinger Champagne and a choice of martinis while you chase the sunset and the city’s lights starts showing its mysterious Manila radiance.

The storm after the calm (it was raining bad but still YAY for champagne!)

Aside from giving yourself to unlimited servings of bubbly and martinis, guests are given the freedom to request to have this classic cocktail prepared to one’s preference. Cocktail connoisseurs can take their gin or vodka and vermouth blend dry, straight and on the rocks, or opt for other twists on all-time favorites such as the Dirty Martini, Lychee Martini, and Rosemary Martini.

Cocktails are best consumed with Lobsters and Shrimps
So whether you’re out with friends or simply drinking alone, don’t worry, I won’t judge. The guys from Miréio won't either, and surely, they got your back. So raise your glass and make a toast for the Happy Hour!
