Day 1 of Cinnamon

Today I am introducing cinnamon into my boy's porridge. I used the cinnamon stick and add it into his food. It is just more for taste. Please wash the cinnamon stick before cooking. I removed the cinnamon stick before I blend his food.

Below are the methods on how to prepare today's meal:

(1) Sauteed the onions, garlic and cinnamon till fragrant.
(2) Then add the carrots, button mushrooms, potato, rice and peas, and stir well.
(3) Add water and then let is simmer for awhile before adding in the fish
(4) Simmer till the rice is cooked to the desired texture.
(5) Add the spinach into the almost ready food and cook it for another 1 to 2 minutes.
(6) Remove the cinnamon stick from the porridge.
(7) Blend or mash to the desired consistency.

Schedule for Today:
Morning (8 am to 9 am): Breastmilk
Noon (11 am to 12pm): Lunch, continue with breastmilk as and when needed
Early Afternoon (2pm to 3pm): Some fruit puree/snack & breastmilk as and when needed
Late Afternoon (5pm to 6pm): Dinner & breastmilk as and when needed
Night (after 6pm): Breastmilk

Allergy Reaction:
No allergy was observed

Texture of Food:
Same as previous

Amount of Food:
1/2 teaspoon of garlic + 1 teaspoon of chopped onions + 1 baby carrot + 1 1/2 tablespoons of chopped spinach + 1 tablespoon of potatoes + 1 tablespoon of sliced fish + 2 1/2 tablespoons of rice (white + brown) + 1 tablespoon of button mushroom + 1 teaspoon of butter + 1 small stick of cinnamon + 1 tablespoon of peas

Baby reaction:
He takes awhile before getting used to the taste. I will try again tomorrow.

Notes:
For vegetarian babies, you can use ginger instead of garlic and onions and replaced the fish to beans or legumes.

For non-vegetarian babies, you can choose the type of meat you want to add into the porridge, it can fish, chicken or other meats that you have introduce to your babies before.
