Catch these seasonal dishes at selected Toby's Estate branches! [with vlog]
When I found out that Toby's Estate had a branch near my office, I was ecstatic. Thank God that there's now a better alternative for those times when I just want to get my cup of joe without having to make it myself in our office pantry.
And what's even better is the fact that the branch near us also serves some hot dishes, sandwiches, salads and soups too! It's the ultimate coffee shop, sans the wifi.
Yes, it looks like Toby's Estate doesn't plan on having wifi installed in their branches soon, which is not really an issue if you're there for their great food.
Just looking at their display of Bucky's cakes and pastries can already make your mouth water. And you haven't even ordered any drinks yet. Not in the mood for coffee? Well, they have locally grown tea, and they say that the Goji Melon drink at Toby's is a surprise waiting to be discovered.
But during this visit, I was there for the seasonal menu at Toby's Estate. The items that they currently offer are perfect for breakfast, lunch, or even somewhere in between.

This healthy sandwich is made with salami, manchego cheese, alflalfa sprouts, lettuce and tomato. A layer of peppers surrounds the slices of salami, giving it a savory kick in every bite. There's some mustard dressing on this sandwich, so if you're not a fan of it, feel free to request to ditch it instead.

Sure, corned beef and egg is nothing different especially to us Filipinos. Heck, we're so used to eating Cornsilog anyway. But there's that unique blend that it present on that hash underneath the meaty corned beef and two sunny side up eggs on top. It does have a mild kick to it, but it's not really spicy (at least for me), and I prefer having uncooked egg yolks, so I can cut through it and make it all runny, just the way I like em.

The Linguine Puttanesca is filling and sumptuous, like how I want my pasta sauce to be. Puttanesca, after all, takes most of its flavor from olives, anchovies, capers and garlic. Naturally salty ingredients that make up for a truly tasty tomato sauce. |

Go a bit heavier with the Braised Chicken in Wine. When I had a bite of this, I immediately got confused. Am I really sitting in a coffee shop right now, or is this all a dream and I am really in a French bistro??? This is really as delicious as it looks!
