Jeera Chicken
Jeera Chicken (Cumin spiced Chicken)
This would taste great as a quick starter before a dinner party served with a side salad or as part of a main meal; we enjoyed it with couscous and raita. Hope you all find it delicious too!
Serves 4 as a starter or 2 as a main
Ingredients
1 Tbsp. Rapeseed Oil
1 ½ tbsp. Jeera (cumin seeds)
4 Garlic Clove finely chopped
1 inch Ginger finely grated
1 green Chilli finely sliced
3 Spring Onions finely chopped white and green parts separate
2 tsp Ground Cumin
1 tsp Garam Masala
¼ tsp turmeric
500g Chicken cubed
Salt and Pepper
1 Lemon freshly squeezed
Coriander finely chopped

Deep Frying Pan (Wok Style)
Method
1.Heat butter and oil together in a pan
2.Add in cumin seeds until toasted (2-3 mins)
3.Add in garlic and fry until golden brown
4.Add in ginger, chilli and spring onions white parts continue to cook for 4-5 minutes
5.Add in ground spices, followed by chicken
6.Season and squeeze in lemon juice
7.Cook chicken for 15-20 minutes – ensure its cooked through
8.Top with chopped green parts of spring onion and coriander
