When in Korea

Did this really happen? Kind of.
Shopping in Korea for me means many things, but it mostly means buying food. To others, shopping can be all about buying the latest beauty products, makeup, clothes or designer shoes: that sort of thing.
For me, however, shopping in Korea is all about snacks and stationery! Also, I recently ventured into buying books in order to improve my Korean.
These comics might be slightly exaggerated. I didn't eat all the snacks in Korea, but I did eat most of them while back in London. I also managed to give them to friends and co-workers. Korean confectionary is very popular with my colleagues in the U.K. There's the hard boiled sweets from Lotte, especially the green, grape-flavored chungpodo candies. If you haven't tried them yet, you simply must. They're delicious!
I drew a few panels of the snack scene in Seoul, based on the packaging design of the Honey Butter Chips and the Banana Kick snacks. The very first time I tasted Honey Butter chips, I fell in love. They're a mixture of sweet and salt, and are really moreish. They were all the rage in Korea a few years back. Everybody loved them.
