Crispy Salt and Pepper Prawns
Super Speedy Salt and Pepper Prawns
A delicious dish to eat as a starter, part of a main meal or snack. They would go perfect with either noodles or rice. Inspired by many visits to our favourite Chinese restaurant. The main reason I love making these though is they take 5-10 minutes from start to finish; ideally after a long day at work and you need something delicious in your belly.
In this recipe like other prawns on my site I have used my favourite costco prawns.
Ingredients:
250g Prawns - Shelled and deveined
3 Spring Onions finely sliced
3 Garlic Cloves finely sliced
1 Red/Green Chilli finely sliced
3 Tbsp. Cornflour
1/2 tsp Garlic Salt
Sea Salt
Black Pepper ( A lot of freshly milled black pepper)
3 Tbsp. Rapeseed oil
Method:
1.In a mixing bowl combine the prawns with the cornflour, garlic salt, sea salt and generous amount of black peppers
2.In a wok or frying pan heat the oil
3.Add in the prawns - around 7/8 at a time and cook for a few minutes on each side until golden brown
4.Remove prawns onto kitchen roll paper to drain and finish frying off remaining ones
5.Once all the prawns have been fried, to the same pan add the finely sliced spring onions, garlic and chilli and fry for 2-3 minutes until crispy
6.Plate up the prawns and top with the spicy onion garlic mix along with a finely few twists of black peppers
