Oriental Spicy Carrots |
I received a nice bunch of fresh carrots this week in my Beebox. I was wondering how to cook it. Then, I just start to imagine the tastes,.... one of my favorite combination with carrots is cumin! This mild spice is just wonderful with carrots. So, it was a good start. Then, I thought I would love to have some kind of oriental recipe and added the rest of the spices accordingly.
The result is a very quick and easy recipe that will change your carrots dishes and will make you travel a little bit!
Ingredients for 4 persons:
- 1 kgs. carrots
- 4 tbsp. of olive oil
- coarse sea salt and pepper
- 2 tsp. of turmeric
- 2 tsp. of cinnamon
- 2 tsp. of cumin
- 2 tbsp. of honey
1/ Clean the carrots and cut them in 4 alongside
2/ Place them in a oven tray. Put the oil, all the spices, salt and pepper. Mix the carrots with your fingers to let the ingredients spread everywhere. Top with the honey.
3/ Cook in the oven for 30 minutes at 180ºC.
Enjoy with some grilled veal or meatballs or with some white fish! I do believe you can also have it cold!
